The rulebook.

These terms apply to the FPV Lap Timer iOS app (“the app”), published by Baby Squid Studios. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. The app is licensed to you — not sold — under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, with these terms adding the app-specific points below.

FPV Lap Timer Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks ghost recording and racing, advanced analytics, and full drone specs. It is billed to your Apple account at the price shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.

• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel it any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the paid period ends.
• Billing, refunds, and price changes are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. To request a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page.
• Use Restore Purchases in the app to regain Premium after reinstalling or switching devices on the same Apple account.

The app is a timing tool; you remain fully responsible for operating your aircraft. Fly only where and how your local aviation rules allow, keep people and property clear of your race line, and mount your phone so it is not in the flight path. Nothing in the app is a substitute for safe piloting or legal compliance.

Lap detection is computer vision under real-world conditions — lighting, backgrounds, and framing affect it. Times are provided as-is for training and fun; we make no warranty that timing is error-free, and the app should not be the sole timing system for official competition.

Don't reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and don't use it in any way that violates the law or Apple's App Store terms. Content you create with the app (recordings, photos) is yours; make sure recording is lawful where you fly.

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Baby Squid Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app — including damage to drones, phones, property, or persons during flying sessions. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

If we materially change these terms, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app or on this site. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
